Believe it or not, I do get a lot of questions about working with a nutritionist, diet, exercise and much more.  I've compiled some of the most commonly asked questions to help answer any questions you may have.

What’s the best diet to follow?

There is no best diet advice. All diets have their pros and cons and should be tailored around your overall health concerns and your goals. A person training for a marathon requires a different diet than someone who may have a chronic condition. Some may want to bulk up or lose weight. Some prefer a plant based rather than a meat based diet. The best diet is the one that both matches the client’s unique physiology and is something they enjoy enough to follow consistently, thus providing the desired results.

Will I have to eat “perfect”?

No one can eat “perfect” all the time. My goal is to help you incorporate healthy eating into your lifestyle so you don’t feel deprived or feel that you are on a “diet”. During your consultation, I will learn about your health, eating habits, your likes and dislikes. Do you create work out plans?

While nutrition is 80% of reaching your goals, exercise is certainly important! I don’t focus on creating fitness plans, but I am happy to make recommendations to those in the fitness industry based on what your goals are.

Can you work with special diets ie: vegetarian, gluten-free etc.?

Yes! This is what a personalized approach entails!  During your consultation, we will discuss your health history and preferences. I will create a personalized meal plan based on this information that will help you reach your goals!

What is Micronutrient Testing?

SpectraCell's Micronutrient tests measure the function of 35 nutritional components including vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and amino acids within our white blood cells. Scientific evidence shows us that analyzing the white blood cells gives us the most accurate analysis of a body's deficiencies.

Eating a balanced diet, exercising and taking a multivitamin is simply not enough. Each person's body is unique in its own way. Due to the complexity of the human body, an individualized healthcare approach is the only way to guarantee optimal results

When I get a nutrition plan, will I still be able to eat out?

Yes! There ARE healthy options when eating out! During your consultation we can talk about this. I love to teach people how to eat health on a daily basis and eating out occasionally is definitely a part of that.
